Mobile Bag O Tricks : VIRUS Attack

This post is on request for the people who crowd the mobile stores to get their mobile fixed and empty their pockets (While they can spend it on Chicks) to get rid of the dreaded MMS and BLUETOOTH VIRUSES.

I have seen a few people asking about what to do if their phone becomes a little temperental.

Well there are a few ways through which you can reset the phone back to their factory settings.
I stumbled upon this while my own phone (a symbian s60 Os) was attacked by a bluetooth (carbir )virus.
There are a few symptoms who have to look for such as
* Extreeeemely slow speed.
* Batteries drained within a few hours.
* Not able to make calls or send messages.

Heres what u have to do.

First you can enter *#7370#. This will reset it to the factory settings and wipe most of the stuff from the phone (contacts, connection settings etc).

*#7780# - Restore factory settings. (Warning! you will lose useful data when entering this code just like *#7370 or [Green, pick up call] + [3, def] + [*+] )

The following codes are safe to use and will not result in loss of data.

*#06# - Display handset's IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) Number

*#0000# - Display Firmware Version.

*#2820# - Display Bluetooth MAC address.

*#62209526# to see the WLAN MAC address

Personally I would take out the SIM card and any memory cards when re-formatting a handset.

** Warning YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR DATA AFTER THIS. OPT FOR THIS OPTION AS THE LAST RESORT AND WHEN YOU HAVE NO OTHER WAY LEFT **
